End to August

I'm still right here. Silent, extremely busy, and enjoying the last bit of summer. Our days have been packed full with our everyday jobs, getting the kids ready for back to school, and big decisions. Those free moments to create a post just haven't popped up - a quick picture snap here and there for instagram has been about the most I've managed to do in August.
It's not the way I like to spend a month but I'm sure soon things will slow down. A cake will be needed soon to celebrate a birthday and then September will begin. Structured school schedules and quiet mornings. Aahhh!

As for my little giveaway there is a winner!
Congrats to:

Thanks everyone for entering.
I'll be back soon with a proper post. About embroidery patterns, our busy days, and lots of pictures.

Embroidered Family
Pushing up Daisies

These are some things I have been working on lately. An embroidered pillowcase and some embroidered old photos. The photographs would make excellent gift tags, cards, or just really awesome wall art framed. I haven't had the chance to put some in the shop yet - but they will be coming soon.
But first I wanted to have a little giveaway, one to say thank you! It's been awhile since I had one of those.

So here is the nitty gritty:
The Winner will get the standard pillowcase embroidered in the picture above and one of the embroidered photos pictured as well.
All you have to do to enter is leave a comment telling me which photos you like the most and what you would do with it?
I will pick a winner randomly from the comments on August 23rd. The giveaway is open  closed to everyone worldwide. Goodluck!!!

Fabric Stash Giveaway

You knew it was coming! I cleaned out my glass cabinet full of fabric goodies, packed away two very overflowing boxes full of fabric that will be moving to the new place and still had a very large pile of fabric (both new and old) left over.
In the pile there are some great old embroidery and cross stitch pieces. Things that would look great cut up and given a new life - also you won't feel guilty for doing so, since most have imperfections. Doilies, both square and round, will be included because for some reason I have just a bit more than one person needs.
Each piece is a different size - but some pieces are yards long and others may be less than a fat quarter. There was so much that I couldn't even picture it all. But one lucky reader will get the whole stash! If there are pieces you get that, well just aren't your style - can't even think of a possibility for them, feel free to pass them along or host your own giveaway with them.

Here is how to enter :
1. Leave a comment telling me how you would use the fabric if you won.
2. If you are a follower of this blog with google friend connect, twitter, Facebook, Bloglovin', or any other way just leave me one comment telling me how you follow me for an extra chance to win.

Unfortunately due to the weight of all this fabric this giveaway is only open to anyone with a US shipping address. (sorry my international followers but the next one will be open to all). The winner will be randomly selected on August 17th, 2012. Goodluck ♥

Giveaway: Business Cards

Recently I got asked by Printrunner if I would like to host a giveaway of their products. Having an Etsy shop I often get items printed like business cards, postcards, sticker labels for packages, and other promotional items... all part of the branding process. Which made me think maybe you guys might also need these same things!

There are so many option when it comes to finding a company to print online from. One thing great about Printrunner is that their prices are affordable. They print business cards that look like you paid a lot more than you did - always a plus when you are starting on a limited budget. Something Printrunner knows about! Printrunner was established with little more than a small press and a dream.

So here is the nitty gritty of the giveaway ~
As the winner you will receive:
250 - 2 x 3.5" Standard Size Business Cards
4/4 Color Both Sides (great for picture on front info on back)
14 pt. UV Coating on Front, 14 pt. UV Coating on Both Sides
(gives them that polished look)
No Proof  and No Rounded Corners (these are options but not for this giveaway)

Here is how to enter ~
**Giveaway is open to US residents only and you must be 18 yrs or older**
a Rafflecopter giveaway

Giveaway ends May 19th. Goodluck!!!
Comments for this post are closed please use the form above to enter (just makes counting the entries easier)
Thank you Printrunner for this generous giveaway, I will be receiving a set of business cards for hosting this giveaway.

Winners!!

The rain has finally stopped here ...and everything looks greener than normal! Little May flies are buzzing around your face and flying in places they shouldn't. I've been keeping myself busy making garlands for the shop, I'm afraid nothing new at the moment. When your mind gets stuck on one subject it's best to do mind numbing things like watch bad indie flicks and crochet the same pattern over and over.
There are little projects that may be in the works but I can't make any promises that they will be produced anytime soon. New garlands, sequins, and even small projects for some soon to be and already here children. I haven't the energy to go digging through the studio - it is beyond unorganized in there at the moment. Filled with empty boxes and a catch all of things. I've been concentrating on so many other things that somethings get left behind. I'm afraid there has been a bit of "I just want to relax" laziness thrown in there too (like not taking a single picture this week).
One thing I did remember was to pick two winners for my giveaway. Thank you all for entering!!!
The winner of the barn towel is:
Congrats!!

The second winner of the ducky shirt is:
Congrats!!

I'm sure there will be more found treasures to giveaway soon. Wishing everyone a fun filled weekend :)

Spreading Cheer

Things are looking up here and I hope they are where you are. We are looking at homes, getting interviewed for positions, and promising not to start any new projects. Well at least that's my promise to myself. The studio is getting overwhelming. Filled with items that have either been started, or are just hanging around.
So while cleaning up and starting to pack, I came across some of my finished projects that need a new place to call home. The first thing I spied was this flour sack dishtowel with an embroidered red barn on it. I'm not sure if I intended this to be for me, a farmer's market, or the shop. But I can just picture a freshly baked loaf of bread wrapped it in, ready for a summer picnic.
Now the second item I found I completely forgot about. I started making this shirt for baby Odyn right after he was born. It's size 6 months ...and now Odyn refers to himself as a big boy who is 3. He never wore it, only because by the time it was finished he was wearing sizes much larger. When I folded it away I pictured giving it as a gift at a friends baby shower, but it has stayed there.
Until now!!! I'm offering these goodies up to you :)
All you have to do is leave a message on this post telling me which prize you would like.
Also if you are a follower of this blog (anyway - bloglovin', GFC, Twitter, FB, Etc)
leave another comment for an extra entry.
Giveaway will close May 3rd.
I''ll pick two winners one for the dishtowel and one for the shirt on May 4th.
Please don't forget a way for me to contact you!!!

Knitting Paper Winner

We have a winner for the Knitting Paper Print!!! Thank you all for entering. This time I went with a different way to pick a winner - a happy spring Easter ... candy ... way. I put 56 pastel jelly beans, for the 56 entries, in a cute little lotus bowl.
Miss Aries, AKA Candy monster, wanted to help. So I advised her to pick out some jelly beans. Grabbing a handful - we counted how many she took. The total would be the lucky winner.
She picked out 20 exactly! Congrats Jeri! Stay tuned for another giveaway... because isn't it just wonderful to feel lucky :)

Yarn Print Giveaway

I know I said last week I would end the week on high note with a giveaway - it's a little later than the end of week....oops. Better late than never right?!
So to promote my new line of watercolor prints I thought I would give you all a chance to win one! Starting today I will be adding prints into Print Me Out. Each print is printed on Premier Art Watercolor Paper with a Kodak Printer. Most prints will be in 3 different standard american sizes 4x6, 5 x7, and 8x10.
For safe shipping they will be shipped inside an envelope marked Do Not Bend, in a clear plastic bag with a white backing board. Each print will be signed on the back.
So with this giveaway this is what you have a chance to win:
One winner will receive a 5x7 inch print of my Knitting Paper Print. It features a lovely turquoise blue gray ball of yarn that is being knitted. There is a bit of an optical illusion in there - after all the knitting looks to be carrying on in the middle of the piece rather than the end of a row.
Here is how to enter:
1. Leave a comment on this post telling me what you would do with the print if you won it. Would you give it as a gift? Hang it in your studio?
2. If you follow my blog or would like to - let me know how you follow in the comments for another chance to win.
3. Pin any of these pictures to Pinterest  with a link to my blog - Copy the link to your pin and leave it in the comments.
4. Favorite Print Me Out on Etsy - Leave a comment with your Etsy name.

** Please remember to leave me a way to contact you if you win!** Giveaway is open to anyone worldwide. Winning this print does not transfer reproduction rights.CLOSED Giveaway ends April 10th, 2012 at 11:59pm EST. One winner will be chosen at random and announced here.
Goodluck!!!!

Shabby Apple Dress Giveaway!!

The lovely people over at Shabby Apple, an online boutique of women's dresses, asked if I would like to give all my wonderful readers a chance to win one of their dresses. Quickly I replied "YES!!"
All I have been doing this week is thinking about spring and how great it will be to wear dresses again. Shabby Apple style dresses are just what I was thinking about! They are classic styles and most with that vintage charm I love so much. The newest collection called Mad Hatter is beautiful.
I must warn you that their dresses are super comfy and you may become addicted to wearing dresses. I have their Lighthouse dress and it's one of the major reasons I want warm weather to arrive. Never did soft pale yellow ever look so good on me.
So my lucky lucky readers you have a chance to win one of their fabulous dresses!! Out of a long list of dresses to choose from I picked one I hope everyone will love. The detail on the skirt is what caught my eye ... my dear hubby even agreed on my choice...and us agreeing is something very rare, so it's gotta be amazing.
So here are the details:

One USA reader will win the Spanish Step dress featured right here:

Drum Roll

And the lucky winner of my new shop, Print Me Out, digital tags is........................

VIVIENNE!!!

Congrats! If you haven't visited Vivienne's blog please do so. Her knitting skills are amazing and in fact her work inspires me so much, along with her kind words that I did a lovely blog post about this dear blogging friend. Some people just touch your soul and warm your heart. Vivienne is one of those wonderful ladies who does just that. So congrats congrats congrats!

Things are doing okay on the political front here. It really makes you aware of what politicians go through. Let's just say I am okay with just being a part of local politics :) So if I'm absent a little bit it's because I'm waving signs and reminding people to vote... I will be back soon I promise.

Did I tell you?

I just realized I have been keeping some secrets. Not on purpose of course! Well the first one is that I am running in my local political race as town tax collector. Being a girl scout and going door to door selling cookies was little easier than going door to door this time. Maybe it's the cookies. So if your local and you see me on your doorstep, I promise I am not selling something, I'm just there to introduce myself. Let you see that I don't have horns sticking out of my head and that paying taxes is never fun but I can try to make it be.
Secondly or should I say lastly, this is my new Etsy shop. So you don't have to print this out...unless you want to. My other shop (Itchin Stitchin) is still open but this new one (PrintMeOut) is solely dedicated to printable crafts. What you will find in there is gift tags, labels, stationery, collage sheets, cards, and other paper crafts. All the images are vintage ephemera  inspired. So it's full of great kitschy retro cuteness.
So want to help me celebrate? Do you like GIVEAWAYS!?!?! I figured what better time than right now to have a giveaway of the peachiest kind. So here are the details!
One winner will get to pick 3 tag sets from my new shop. New ones are being added all the time! My tag sets come with 4 different designs each that measure 2x3 inches, print on 4x6 paper, are in JPEG form, and are in 300dpi high resolution quality. If I am confusing you with numbers that is 12 different tags that you can print over and over and over again.
